The Union has achieved 19 tentative agreements to date. Bargaining discussions during this session were of the new COVID 19 protocol and staffing during Holidays. Company provides data to the union necessary to work on compensation proposals.
The Company re-evaluated their last proposal based on CWA's serious concerns and proposed a no layoff language. The union forces an expiration date after much discussions related to COVID-19 and bankruptcy.
The members of CWA District 9 voted on May 29 to ratify the Tentative Agreement between AT&T Core West (wireline) and the Communications Workers of America by a yes vote of 69.99% of the ballots received.
It has been understood that policies would be adjusted in response to changing conditions, as the ground would invariably shift beneath us with COVID-19 infections spreading across the country. We are once again being proactive and adjusting as the situation evolves.
The Bargaining Committee continues negotiating with AT&T while adhering to all CDC recommendations (i.e. social distancing). Your Team has worked multiple days, late evenings, in an attempt to reach a tentative agreement.
AT&T West Bargaining Bulletin #6: Yesterday your Bargaining Team met with the Company and received their latest package proposal. The Company again failed to seriously address the working conditions and quality of life for our Members.
