The Union and Company Bargaining Committees met in formal session on February 8.  The Company presented the Union bargaining team with 3 proposals:

Company Proposal #1 – Agreement

Company Proposal #2 – Classification of Employees

Company Proposal #3 – Seniority

The Union Bargaining Committee is now reviewing the company’s proposals. The Union Bargaining team also submitted:  Union Proposal #1- Recognition.

The Union and Company also met informally at the bargaining table to address Local 9421’s concerns over the termination of a member.

We will be returning to the bargaining table 3/1/17 and 3/2/17. Your bargaining team can’t do this alone; we need YOU to join in the upcoming DTV mobilization activities.

In support of our brothers and sisters in MOBILITY, DTV and Core members are joining in the 4 rallies taking place this Saturday, Feb 11, 2017 across California:

252 Broadway, Downtown San Diego from 10am to 2pm;

3764 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, 10am-12pm;

4300 Ming Ave, Bakersfield, 12 noon to 1:30pm;

1 Powell St, San Francisco, 1pm to 3pm;

AT&T Misled Workers Who Accepted Severance Offer

Last month, AT&T managers presented technicians in California with a stark choice -- accept a voluntary buyout offer now with enhanced severance pay and benefits, or risk involuntary job cuts in the fall if the company didn’t meet its target for voluntary separations. However, with the technicians who accepted the offer leaving payroll this week, AT&T changed course. Although fewer than half of the target number of technicians took the voluntary offer, the company announced that it will not impose involuntary cuts to make up the difference.
