CWA has negotiated a special COVID-19 bonus for AT&T Core Workers

CWA has negotiated a special COVID-19 bonus of 20% for *ALL* CWA members in *ALL* titles (inside and outside) who work for both AT&T Core (Core means *all* titles in the West Green wireline contract, including Appendix A and Appendix E) and AT&T Mobility (Mobility means *all* titles in the Orange wireless contract)!

DETAILS: Effective March 25th, the “COVID - 19 AT&T U.S. Cash Award Program” will take effect, and a 20% bonus above the regular hourly base rate of pay will be applied for *all* hours worked, whether worked at your normal work location (in the field, in an office, in a store, or wherever you normally work), or worked from home. The bonus will be included in your regular rate of pay for purposes of calculating overtime rates.

EXAMPLE:

Hourly Wage Rate = $10.00 per hour
20% bonus per hour = $2.00 per hour
Total new base wage = $12.00 per hour

In this example, $12.00 per hour becomes your new Base Wage as it applies to the “COVID - 19 AT&T U.S. Cash Award Program”. Time and one half (1-1/2) would now become $18.00 per hour ($12.00/hour plus $6.00/hour = $18.00 per hour).

➡️ THIS BONUS IS THE RESULT OF CWA’S NEGOTIATIONS WITH AT&T, AS WE BELIEVE *ALL* OF OUR MEMBERS—REGARDLESS OF YOUR JOB TITLE OR WHERE YOU WORK—SHOULD RECEIVE EXTRA PAY WHILE WORKING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

We appreciate and value all of our members who are working during this pandemic. THANK YOU for all you do!!

AT&T Misled Workers Who Accepted Severance Offer

August 13, 2020 5:27 pm

Last month, AT&T managers presented technicians in California with a stark choice -- accept a voluntary buyout offer now with enhanced severance pay and benefits, or risk involuntary job cuts in the fall if the company didn’t meet its target for voluntary separations. However, with the technicians who accepted the offer leaving payroll this week, AT&T changed course. Although fewer than half of the target number of technicians took the voluntary offer, the company announced that it will not impose involuntary cuts to make up the difference.
