Bargaining Report #6

03/06/2020

Yesterday your Bargaining Team met with the Company and received their latest package proposal. The Company again failed to seriously address the working conditions and quality of life for our Members. After receiving AT$T’s package proposal, we have followed the National Unions guidance and passed a proposal that is designed to protect the Unions’ rights after expiration of the current contract. The Company to this point has not fully addressed a single issue to improve the quality of life for our MEMBERS or show true investment in OUR COMMUNITIES. Your Bargaining Team continues to wait for a serious proposal from AT$T. The Unions’ proposals are addressing our member’s issues and demands that were brought forward in the members bargaining survey and issues presented by the locals.

Only 29 days to contract expiration!!!!

However, with the technicians who accepted the offer leaving payroll this week, AT&T changed course. Although fewer than half of the target number of technicians took the voluntary offer, the company announced that it will not impose involuntary cuts to make up the difference.
